Pierogi Casserole with Creamy Dill Sauce
This pierogi casserole made with a creamy dill sauce is extremely easy to make and taste FANTASTIC! Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 900 grams bag of frozen pierogies (approximately 20 perogies)
- 1 cup sliced smokies or kielbasa
- 1 tbsp butter
- ¾ cup chopped cooked ham
- ¾ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- ½ tsp dry dill
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp seasoning salt
- ¼ cup grated cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
- In a medium skillet, melt butter. Add onions and pepper and season with a little bit of salt and pepper. Saute the vegetables until onions become translucent and peppers are crisp-tender, for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add frozen pierogies to the bottom of a 9×13 casserole dish and add diced ham, sliced sausage, and vegetables on top.
- In a bowl combine together the sauce ingredients. Mix well.
- Pour the sauce over the casserole and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes until cheese is bubbly and pierogies are heated thoroughly.
