Slow-Cooker Creamy Chicken & Noodles

  • 3 chicken breast, boneless, and skinless
  • 1 pkg wide egg noodles (12oz/340g)
  • 2 cans cream of chicken
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth, low sodium
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped or sliced into small pieces
  • 2 ½ tsp onion powder
  • 2 ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp parsley, dry
  • ¾ tsp salt, more or less to taste
  • ¾ tsp black pepper, more or less to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese


  • Add broth, cream of chicken, sour cream, and spices to the crockpot, and stir to combine.
  • Add chicken breasts and celery. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it. Place the slow cooker on high, add the shredded chicken back in, followed by your egg noodles. Stir to combine
  • Cover and allow to cook on high for another 15 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and stir in your cheese. Put the lid back on and continue cooking until the cheese has melted and the noodles are cooked to your liking (another 5-7 minutes).
  • Once the noodles are cooked, turn off the slow cooker and allow it to sit for 5 minutes before serving to allow the sauce to thicken.
