Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 500 grams refrigerated gnocchi
  • 3 cups kielbasa sausage, into ¼ inch slices
  • 2 cups favorite marinara sauce
  • ½ tbsp garlic, minced (2-3 cloves)
  • ½ cup mozzarella, shredded
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • ½ tbsp Italian seasonings
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder, divided
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Heat up the oil, in a large skillet, over medium-high. Add sliced sausage and season with 1 tsp of onion powder, and salt and pepper to taste.
Cook a few minutes on both sides until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook for an additional 30-35 seconds until fragrant.
Add Gnocchi and cook for another minute, stirring often, to allow them to absorb some flavors.
  • Add the marinara, Italian seasonings, garlic powder, the remaining onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix all together and bring to a simmer.
Simmer the gnocchi until it is cooked through, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add mozzarella and stir until it is completely melted. Turn off the heat, and stir in the fresh basil.
    Serve and Enjoy!
